Hey there, and welcome! I’m Susanne, the cook, author and traveler behind My Golden Pear. My passion for travel and food takes me around the world. I prepare my culinary discoveries as recipes, test them and share them here so you can recreate them at home.
Packed with a marketing background, I spent many years as a professional copywriter and editor for trade magazines like Marconomy and Consulting.de, as well as ghostwriter for OMR, among others.
But as a passionate cook, I finally wanted to combine my passion with my profession. And so I started my own business as a professional food blogger a few years ago.
My goal is to inspire and excite hobby cooks like you. Personally, I spend every free minute in the kitchen testing new recipes and combining flavors from different cultures.
My ability, admittedly exhausting when shopping, to spontaneously put together recipes in my head helps me a lot. Even browsing cookbooks, cozily on the couch or on the train, is a journey through flavors for me: just reading the ingredients already creates a taste profile in my head.

But that’s just the beginning. My Golden Pear is not about me, it’s about giving you, your family and friends a great taste experience. It makes me happy when my Tres Leches cake was the hit at your table, or the hearty chili con carne warmed you up on a cold day.
Food connects people, I firmly believe that.
