How to cook Corn on the Cob

Corn on the cob is a delicious and nutritious side dish that is easy to cook. Here are some tips on how to cook corn on the cob. First, shuck the corn. This means to remove the outer husks from the corn. Then, remove the silk from the corn. Now it is ready to be cooked.

No matter how you cook it, corn on the cob is a delicious and satisfying side dish! There are many different ways to cook corn on the cob.

Boiling corn cobs

The most popular way is to boil it. To do this, fill a pot with enough water and bring them up to temperature before adding in any other ingredients like salt or sugar that might be needed for taste preference (depending). If you do not have a pot big enough to hold the whole corn cobs, try to break them into two.

To do this, cut the cob half way all around with a knive. You will not be able to cut all the way through, though. Now firmly break the cob in two twith your hand.

After 15 minutes, or longer, the corn is cooked through.

Grilling corn cobs

Grilling is a great way to cook corn on the cob. Just make sure you preheat your grill and place themdirectly over medium-high heat for 10 minutes, turning occasionally until cooked through with no balk pieces left!

Just make sure you preheat your grill and add some oil or butter before placing them onto hot surfaces so they don’t stick. You can grill corn pre cooked or raw.

Oven roasting

You can also roast corn on the cob. Preheat your oven to 180°C and place as many cobs of it in a single layer onto an unheated pans. Bake them for 20 minutes, until they start turning brown but remain pliable enough not yet crisp or hard at all – this will depend largely upon how hot you started out with them!

To make it more fun, try roasting it for 20 – 25 minutes with olive oil and salt pepper; this will give you satisfying crunchy goodness!

Fry cooked corn cobs

Finally, you can also fry corn on the cob. For this, it has to be precooked. Heat about 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the corn, and cook for about 2 minutes per side, until golden brown.

Cook corn cobs in the microwave

Place the corn in a microwave-safe dish. Add about 50 ml (1/4 cups) of water to the dish, and cover it with a plastic lid. Microwave on high for 4-5 minutes, or until the corn is cooked through. Serve with butter and salt, if desired.
